I created a fun, colorful, and festive Christmas card inspired by my own card that I created last year. It’s always fun to mix and match small stamps from different stamp sets to create my own background.
I combined three stamp sets from Paper Smooches to create my own background: Merry Motifs, Holly Jolly, and Giddy Gumdrops.
I started by drawing an oval shape on my card front using the Hero Arts Nesting Oval Infinity Die and pencil.
Then I stamped the sentiment from the Holly Jolly stamp set and the gingerbread man image from the Giddy Gumdrops stamp set inside the oval frame with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink on A2 size white cardstock.
Next, I randomly stamped various Christmas images outside the oval frame using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink while overlapping some images using the masking technique.
After stamping is done, I colored my images with Copic markers and added some dots/dash lines with Uni-Ball White Gel Pen to add interest to some of my colored images.
I stamped the sentiment from the Giddy Gumdrops stamp set with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink on a piece of white cardstock. Then I cut into a thin strip and mounted the sentiment banner on the card front using foam tape.
I added some interest to some of my images by applying Ranger Star Dust Stickles, Mini Glossy Accents, and Wink of Stella Glitter White Brush.
