Hello crafty friends! I’ve been sitting on some very exciting news for a while, and today is the day I get to share it with you all. I’m pleased as punch to officially announce that I’ve joined the CASology design team. Whoop whoop! I feel very lucky to be working with the fabulous ladies on the DT who I’m looking forward to getting to know better. I’m in such talented company. Thank you, Melissa, for this amazing opportunity!
This is my first post as part of the CASology Design Team, and I am so thrilled to be on board. Each Tuesday morning, I’ll share a clean and simple card using a cue word as inspiration. Without further ado, here is this week’s cue word at CASology:
While I was looking at my favorite cards of 2013 last week, I was inspired by my own creations. I found that I’ve tried once making bubbly card and I failed(click here to see what I meant). So I wanted to recreate the bubbly card by using inks not glitter. Here is what I came up with:
To give a bubbly look on my card, I decided to create a nice round shape using Sponge Dauber. I started by picking up my color with the sponge dauber on the ink pad and dabbing it directly onto the card base. I created some circular images in a random pattern with few shades of Hero Arts ink(Soft Leaf, Soft Pool, Passion Flower) and repeated the process until I achieved the desired background.
The Hero Arts Shadow Ink worked fabulously for this technique. Layering the colors helped create depth and movement as well. I finished it off with the sentiment from Inside&Out: Birthday stamp set by Papertrey Ink. I love the way my card turned out. It looks so soft and dreamy yet CAS! What do you think?
