Welcome to Hero Arts’s Season of Wonder Release Blog Hop. If you came from the amazing Megan Hoeppner’s blog, you are right on track! To celebrate a release of the Season of Wonder Catalog Collection, I created a fun winter scene using Hero Arts Bundle Up Stamp & Die Combo.
Since I live in Southern California, our winter season looks like more fall to me. That was why I chose the Bundle Up stamp set to create a Christmas card.
I started by stamping two sentiments from the Bundle Up stamp set in diagonal on the A2 size white cardstock with Altenew Evening Gray Ink, leaving some white space. I’m not sure if I should’ve stamped the sentiments on the entire card front, though.
Then I adhered my stamped panel on the A2 size top folding white card base using Altenew Glue Tape.
I stamped the images from the Bundle Up stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a piece of white cardstock using the Original MISTI Stamping Tool. Next, I colored my images with Copic Sketch Markers using the simple blending technique.
Next, I die cut the images using Hero Arts Bundle Up Frame Cuts and Spellbinders Platinum Diecut Machine. After that, I mounted my die cuts on the card front using 3M foam tape to give dimension.
I stamped the sentiment from the Bundle Up Stamp Set with Simon Says Stamp Clear Ink a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed it using some Hero Arts White Detail Embossing Powder. Then I cut out my sentiment into a thin banner and mounted it on the card front using 3M foam tape.
To finish off my card, I dressed up my boy/girl images by applying some Ranger Star Dust Stickles on their hats and adding some dash lines on their coats using Uni-Ball White Gel Pen.
This is it for my card. This is definitely not my go-to cardmaking style. So I have mixed feelings about how my card turned out. Hope you like what I created. 🙂
