Hello, and welcome to the Altenew July 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop! If you came from my amazingly talented friend, Kathy Racoosin’s blog, you are right on track.
To celebrate a release of new stamps and dies, I created a floral-themed monogram card featuring the following products: Life Is Awesome Stamp & Die Bundle, Thanks Around the World Stamp Set, Mega Alphabet N Die, and Needlework Motif Stamp Set.
I started by stamping “thanks” from the Thanks Around the World Stamp Set repeatedly in a diagonal pattern with Altenew Evening Gray Ink on a piece of A2 size white cardstock. I used the Original MISTI Stamping Tool along with Creative Corner to stamp the words in straight.
Then I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Life Is Awesome Stamp Set using various colors from Altenew Crisp Dye Ink Collection. Once again, I used the Original MISTI Stamping Tool to stamp multiple images at once.
FYI, you can find the stamp layering guide HERE. After my stamping is done, I cut the image using the Life Is Awesome Die Set and my Spellbinders Platinum Diecut Machine.
Next, I die cut the letter “N” twice using the Mega Alphabet N Die out of black cardstock and white fun form. After coloring the side of my fun form N die cut using the black marker from Altenew Artist Markers Set A, I adhered two die cuts together and mounted the “N” on the card front using Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze.
I stamped the sentiment from the Needlework Motif Stamp Set with Embossing Ink on a piece of white cardstock and heat embossed it using Altenew Rose Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. Then I cut out my sentiment into a thin banner and mounted it on the die cut letter“N” using 3M foam tape.
I built my own floral arrangments using die cut flowers and leaves and mounted them on the two sides of my monogram N using form tape. I finished off my card by adding some black/white pearls from Hero Arts Neutral Mixed Accents on the background and the center of the flowers.
