Hello, crafty friends! Welcome to the Studio Katia 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop. If you are coming from the fantastic Vicky Papaioannou’s blog, you are right on track!
I started by stamping the image from Studi Katia Lovely Blooms Stamp Set with Simon Says Stamp Khaki Ink on the A2 size Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf Cardstock. Then I colored my image with Prisma Colored Pencils.

I colored my image with the darkest color first toward the bottom of my flower and along the outline of my flower petal. Then I applied medium colors near the previous colored area and toward the end of my petal. I finished off by shading the tip of my first petal with a lighter pencil.
Please note that I overlapped the colors between each application so I can get a smooth transition between two colors. I also moved my pencil in in small circles to get an even, blended look and not to leave any harsh lines.
FYI, here is the list of colors from Prisma Colored Pencils that I used for coloring:
- Red: PC989 Carmine Red, PC928 Blush Pink, PC920 Pink, PC 930 Peach.
- Orange: PC922 Poppy Red, PC918 Orange, PC1002 Yellowed Orange
- Auqa: PC905 Aquamarine, PC1006 Parrot Green, PC992 Light Aqua
- Green: PC912 Apple Green, PC913 Spring Green, PC989 Chartreuse
After my coloring is done, I heat embossed the image using Altenew Antique Gold Embossing Powder to add elegance to my floral image. Then I adhered my colored panel on the A2 sized top folding white card base using Altenew glue tape.
Next, I stamped the sentiment from Studio Katia Birthday Greetings Stamp Set on a piece of black cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Clear Ink and sprinkled some Altenew pure white embossing powder over the sentiment and tap the excess powder off my paper.
After I heat set my sentiment with a heat tool, I trimmed my sentiment into a thin banner using a craft knife and ruler and mounted the sentiment banner on the card front using 3M foam tape to give some dimension.
To add some interest to my background, I added some embellishment from Studio Katia, Iridescent Bubbles, using a jewel picker and Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze. That’s it! Hope you love my card! 🙂
