Welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio Spring Release Blog Hop! If you came from the amazing Julia Stainton’s blog, you are right on track! Today the design team girls are sharing some fabulous projects to celebrate a release of new stamps and dies.
I created a fun fruit-themed card using the Fruitastic Stamp Set and Love With Botanicals Die Set. I started by stamping the fruit images from the Fruitastic Stamp Set on the A2 size white cardstock.
FYI, here is the list of Simon Says Stamp ink pads I used for my stamping:
- Apple, strawberry: Teeny Bikini, Hot Lips
- Lemon: Lemon Chiffon, Lemon Zing
- Peach: Pale Blush Pink, Apricot
- Pear: Goldenlocks, Catkin
- Leaves: Catkin
Then I add tiny dots between the images on the background using the fine tip of Altenew Artist Markers: Buttercream and Evening Gray and the black Sharpie pen.
Next, I die cut LOVE out of the stamped panel and 7 times out of white cardstock using the Love With Botanicals Die Set and stacked them together to achieve a chipboard letter effect. After I adhered my stamped panel on the A2 size white card base using a glue tape, I inlaid the die cut letters to add dimension.
I stamped the sentiment from the Dream Stamp Set with Embossing Ink on a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed it using some White Embossing Powder. Then I cut out my sentiment into a thin banner and mounted it on the card front using 3M foam tape.
It’s a shame that my camera failed to catch those yummy colors from my fruit images. They look way better in real life. Anyway, I love how my card turned out – especially love the dimension from the raised letters.
