Happy Monday! Last week I was up on the Pinkfresh Studio blog with a fun card featuring a custom background. When I saw the fun images from the Well Worn Stamp Set, I immediately knew what I wanted to create – my own stamped background!!
I started by drawing some guidelines along the edges of my A2 card base using a ruler and a pencil. After masking off the edges with post-it notes, I stamped the images from the Well Worn Stamp Set with Altenew Permanent Black Ink which is alcohol marker friendly.
Then I colored my images with Copic markers. To add some interest on my background, I added some white dots using a white gel pen on some of the images. I also added some dots between the images to fill in the gaps using a fine tip of Altenew Artist Marker Morning Frost.
I stamped brilliant from the Word Series Brilliant Stamp Set in black on a piece of white cardstock, die cut it using a coordinating die andAltenew Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine, and mounted it on the card front using 3M foam tape.
Next, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Word Series Brilliant Stamp Set using Altenew Pure White Embossing Powder on a piece of black cardstock.
After cutting out my sentiment into a thin banner, I mounted it on the card front using 3M foam tape. I finished off my card by erasing my pencil lines. Don’t you just love the little dots in the background?
