Hello, and welcome to the Best Days Collection Release Blog Hop from Simon Says Stamp! If you came from the fabulous Amy Kolling’s blog, you are right on track!
For today’s project, I decided to go with very clean and simple(?) design to show off the gorgeous images from the Bold Flowers Stamp Set.
I started by stamping various images from Bold Flowers Stamp Set on a piece of white cardstock using several ink colors from Simon Says Stamp Premium Dye Ink Collection.
Here is the list of ink pads I used.
- Flowers: Clementine, Teeny Bikini, Lemon Zing, Hot Mama, and Holly Hock
- Leaves: Key Lime and Fern
After adding tiny dots in the center of my flowers using a black pen, I die my images using coordinating dies from the Bold Flowers Die Set and Spellbinders Platinum Diecut Machine.
Next, I cut woodgrain white cardstock into 4.25″ x 5.5″ using Tim Holtz paper trimmer and mounted it on the A2 size top folding white card base using Altenew glue tape. Then I mounted my die cut flowers and leaves on the card front using 3M foam tape to add dimension.
I stamped the sentiment from the Hello You Stamp Set with Simon Says Stamp Embossing Ink on a piece of white cardstock and heat embossed it with Altenew Antique Gold Embossing Powder.
I trimmed my sentiment into a thin strip using a craft knife and ruler and mounted the sentiment banner in the middle of my floral arrangement using foam tape to finish off my card.

I created another card with the same design but different card base. This time I used Altenew Woodgrain Bark Cardstock for my card base. Which one do you like more? White or Brown? Please leave a comment below – I’d love to hear from you.
For my second card, I used the sentiment from the Handwritten Love Stamp Set. Don’t you just love all of these bright colors?
I almost added some clear droplets on the background, but I’m glad I didn’t to keep the clean and simple look of my card design.
