Happy Monday, my crafty friends! Welcome to the Hero Arts March 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit Blog Hop. If you came from the amazing Clare Prezzia’s blog, you are right on track!
I started by ink blending the colors on a piece of A2 size white cardstock using Ranger mini ink blending tools and Hero Arts Ombre ink pads: Ombre Hydrangea, Ombre Neon Red to Purple, Ombre Spring Brights, and Neon Yellow to Orange.
Then I die cut two cover panels using Hero Arts Bold Graphic Confetti Die and Spellbinders Platinum Diecut Machine out of the inked panel and A2 size white cardstock. Next, I mounted the die cut panel on the A2 size white top folding card base using 3M foam tape.
After that, I mounted the confetti die cuts on some of the openings using three layers of 3M foam tape to give extra dimension. I love how the confetti die-cuts look like floating in the air, creating some dramatic drop shadows.
I die cut thank 10 times out of white cardstock using the die from March 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit and adhered them together using Sakura Quickie Glue Pen to create a chipboard effect.
I stamped the sentiment banner from the stamp set included in March 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, heat embossed it using Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder, and die cut it using the coordinating die.
I adhered the die-cut word and the sentiment banner on the card front to finish off my card. By the way, I added some gold metallic thread behind the die-cuts to add some interest to my card.
