Hello, crafty friends! Have you checked out new Build-A-Flower: Chrysanthemum Set from Altenew? With this Build-A-Flower: Chrysanthemum, anyone can achieve a realistic look as it gives extra depth to the chrysanthemum image with four layers.
My card for today is all about layers and dimensions. I started by die cutting the cover panel using Altenew’s Watercolor Stripes Cover Die out of Woodgrain White Cardstock. Then I mounted the panel on an A2 size Altenew Real Gray Cardstock.
Then I stamped the flower and leaves from the Build-A-Flower: Chrysanthemum Set on a piece of white cardstock. After stamping, I cut out the images using coordinating dies in the set and Altenew Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine.
FYI, here is the list of Altenew Crisp Dye Inks I used for stamping:
- Flower: Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat, and Vineyard Berry
- Leaves: Sweet Leaf, Just Green, and Hunter Green
I die cut hugs five times using the Altenew Script Words Die Set out of Gold Mirror Cardstock and Real Gray Cardstock. I adhered my die cuts together using a glue pen to make them thick like chipboard letters.
I finished off my card by mounting my flower, leaves, and die cut word on the card front. I also added some Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets to add interest to my card.
Did you notice that I mounted two layers of the flower die cut? I used my practice piece for the bottom layer. It’s a perfect way to hide my stamping mistake while giving some extra dimension to my focal point!
