Hi, crafty friends! Today I’m up on the Pinkfresh Studio blog with a bold floral background card. This card is very easy to make, but it takes a bit of time to complete. FYI, my inspiration came from my fabulous friend Yana Smakula’s cards.
I started by stamping my background image using the Floral Background stamp set with Hero Arts White Dye Ink on an A2 size black cardstock. Then I colored my background image with Prisma Colored Pencils.
After my coloring was done, I stamped my background image again with Altenew Embossing Ink. Then I heat embossed the image with Altenew Antique Gold Embossing Powder.
You can skip the process of stamping your image with white ink and do heat embossing it directly if you want to. However, I learned from Yana that it’s easy to color in the stamped image, not the embossed image, especially when each image has small openings and detailed lines.
Next, I heat embossed my sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate stamp set with Altenew Antique Gold Embossing Powder on a piece of white cardstock.
I finished off my card by mounting the sentiment banner on the card front and colored panel on an A2 size top folding Pale Gray card base using 3M foam tape.
