Hello, crafty friends! Have you checked out new Build-A-Flower: Carnation Set from Altenew? With this Build-A-Flower: Carnation, anyone can achieve a realistic look as it gives extra depth to the carnation image with four layers.
I started by stamping the sentiments in the middle of my card front with Altenew Permanent Black Ink. FYI, I used the following stamp sets from Altenew to create my own sentiment: Smile More, Hug Me, and Halftone Hearts.
Then I stamped the multi-step carnation images, leaves, and a cluster of tiny flowers from Build-A-Flower: Carnation around my sentiments to create my own floral background.
FYI, here is the list of Altenew Crisp Dye Inks I used for each image.
- Yellow carnation: Citrus Burst, Fresh Lemon, Honey Drizzle, and Orange Cream
- Coral carnation: Frosty Pink, Peach Perfect, Rouge, and Caramel Toffee
- Pink carnation: Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, and Razzleberry
- Leaves: Bamboo and Parrot
- Outline flowers: Evening Gray
I made some stamping mistakes while masking the images. So I hid them with Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Mix. I think it would have been look better with sequins.
By the way, my husband said that I stamped too many sentiments which made my card to look so busy. What do you think?

I don’t think it’s too many sentiments. I like it. I’m drooling over the flowers again. You are becoming an enabler. I have to get this flower in my collection.

Sorry to disagree with the hubby but on this I think he’s wrong. Sometimes you have to say a bit more than one line to let people know you’re there. Loving this pretty, spring coloured flower card & the sparkles really look swell x

Beautiful OLC, love the color combos for your pretty carnations and leaves. I think these sentiments compliment each other nicely, I don’t think it looks too busy at all.
