Hello, and welcome to the Altenew September 2017 Release Blog Hop! If you came from the amazing Vicky Papaioannou’s blog, you are right on track!
To celebrate a new release, I created a couple of quick and simple cards using some of the brand new stamp sets that I designed for Altenew: Halftone Stars and Happy Holidays. Here are what I came up with:
I started by stamping two sentiments from the Happy Holidays Stamp Set with Altenew Jet Black Ink on an A2 sized top folding white card base.
Then I stamped the halftone stars and solid stars from the Halftone Stars Stamp Set with Altenew Volcano Ink. FYI, I stamped large halftone stars first and filled in the gaps with smaller images later.
I finished off my card by adding some dots with Jet Black marker from Altenew Artist Markers Set A. I used a fine tip to get an even look of my dots, but you can use a brush tip if you want.
I just can’t help adding dots to my cards these days. They really add extra details to my card. Hope you are not tired of seeing my signature dots. 🙂
I created another card with the same design but different color. I used Altenew Pinkalicious Ink for the stamping on my second card.

Fabulous cards and I love the non Christmas colours you used. Just lovely! I have a hard time deciding on a favourite as there are so many great products in this release. If we’re looking at the stamps only I’m going with the Peace on Earth set and the Majestic Mistletoe set as my fav’s but I really adore them all, including the 2 you mentioned you created at the beginning of the post

Love your cards! Volcano Lake is my favorite of the colors you selected. Nontraditional cards are growing on me. I’m favoring the Majestic Mistletoe stamp but the Happy Holidays sentiment stamp set is a close second. I look for stamp, stencil and die sets that can be used across my artsy interests. My favorite stamp set would make beautiful cards and add interestate to my planner and junk journal. Love them!
