Hello, and welcome to the Hero Arts 2017 Winter Catalog Blog Hop. If you came from the amazing Michelle Short’s blog, you are right on track! To celebrate a release of 2017 Winter Catalog Collection, I created FOUR cards. Here are what I came up with:
For my first card, I placed my stencil over the A2 size Fog Gray cardstock and applied some Wendy Vecchi embossing paste over the Pop Pattern Stencil on partial areas. Then I applied some gold embossing powder and heat set it to add some texture/shimmer.
I stamped leaves and berries from the Color Layering Holly stamp set on a piece of white cardstock with following Hero Arts inks: Soft Olive, Moss, and Strawberry. I heat embossed the detail layer of leaves with gold embossing powder and fussy cut the leaves using scissors.
Next, I gold embossed the banner, stamped the sentiment in black, die-cut the banner using the Christmas Banner Stamp & Cut. I finished off the card by mounting the leaves, berries, and sentiment banner on the card front using foam tape.
For the second card, I created a random background by stamping the images from the Santa Snacks Stamp & Cut. Then I colored the images with Copic markers and added some dots between the images with Altenew Artist Markers Set A: Jet Black.
Then I stamped the sentiment from the Jingle All The Way Stamp & Cut with watermark ink on a piece of black cardstock. After heat embossing the sentiment with white embossing powder, I die-cut a tag using Hero Arts Numer It Stamp & Cut and pop it up using foam tape on the card front.
I also created a watercolor card using the Angels stamp set. I stamped the images with Intense Black Ink on Arches watercolor paper and watercolored them with Mijello Mission Gold Watercolor Set. I applied some ink splatters to add some interest to my background. The sentiment from the Angels stamp set was stamped in black.
For my last card, I used my favorite cardmaking formula: one-layer stamped background. After stamping the sentiment at the bottom of the card front, I stamped the images from the Winter Silhouettes stamp set with following Hero Arts Inks: Soft Cantaloupe, Green Hills, Soft Brown, Aegean, and Cotton Candy.
