Hero Arts July 2017 My Monthly Hero Blog Hop + Giveaway

by May Park-

Hero Arts Watercolor Daisy Card-May Park -1

Welcome to the Hero Arts July 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit Blog Hop. If you came from the amazing Wanda’s blog, you are right on track!

To celebrate the release of July 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit, I created a watercolor card using the images from the Daisy and Bugs stamp and cut and the sentiment from the Summer Garden stamp set.

I started by stamping the daisy image from Daisy and Bugs stamp and cut with Hero Arts black ink. Then I watercolored my daisy using Mijello Mission Gold Watercolor Set.

As you noticed, I stamped the sentiment from Summer Garden stamp set as a stem.  After adding some paint splatters on the card front, I mounted my watercolor panel on A2 size gray card base.

To finish off my card, I added some little dots in the center of my daisy using Uni-Ball white gel pen.

This is my practice piece that I almost didn’t share. 😉 However, I decided to share as I wanted to let you know that I also make not-great cards. Haha!

As many have mentioned, your use of the sentiment on your cute daisy card is simply clever! I also admire your control on the splatter (mine turns messy) and watercolor technique. Thank you for your Hero Arts July 2017 Kit inspiration! 🙂

Beautiful card! Also love that you shared your practice piece and turned it into a card as well. I’m sure the recipient will love it. A few days ago, I watched a video by Sandy Allnock where she turned her practice watercolour panels into beautiful bookmarks.
