Hello, and welcome to the Altenew October 2016 Blog Hop! If you came from the amazing Debby’s blog, you are right on track! Today the design team girls are sharing some fabulous projects to celebrate the release of 16 new stamp sets including two stamp sets I designed: Simple Flowers and Geometric Flowers.
Since Laura and Debby already made some flower cards with the Simple Flowers stamp set, I decided to use the set to create a fun stamped background. Those white images inside the circle reminded me of sprinkles on the cupcake; so I was able to make a birthday card using yummy colors from Altenew’s new dye inks: Rouge, Warm Sunshine, and Volcano Lake.
For my sentiment, I stamped celebrate from the Super Script stamp set in black, die cut the word using the coordinating die and popped it up using foam squares on the card front. Then I added the white embossed sentiment from the Way Too Sweet stamp set. To finish off the card, I adhered some Pretty Pink Posh’s sparkling sequins.
Since one swirling image from the Simple Flowers stamp set looks like latte art in a coffee cup, I wanted to make a warm and festive Christmas card with traditional holiday colors. I used the sentiment from the Super Script stamp set and Sketched Evergreen stamp set. Then I added some gold thread behind the die cut word and adhered some Pretty Pink Posh’s Christmas sequins to decorate my card.
