Hello, and welcome to the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit Blog Hop. If you came from the fabulous Mariana’s blog, you are right on track! Today the creative team girls are sharing some fabulous projects to celebrate the release of October My Monthly Hero Kit.
I created a festive Christmas card using the fun images from October My Monthly Hero Kit add-on stamp set: Holiday Cheer. While making this card, I was thinking of Christmas tree with ornaments that I’ve collected over the years.
How to Make a Christmas Ornaments Card using Ombré Inking
- Cut white cardstock into 4.25″x5.5″ out of Snow Layering Papers.
- Blend five shades of red using mini blending tools and Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Festive Berries, Candied Apple and Fired Brick.
- Add ink splatters using Unicorn White Spray on the ombré background.
- Stamp the images from Holiday Cheer stamp set with Memento Tuxedo black ink.
- Color the images with Copic markers and die cut them with Holiday Cheer frame cuts.
- Attach some silver metallic thread on the back of each die cut and mount them on the card front using foam dots.
- Stamp the sentiment from the Christmas Messages stamp set with black ink.
- Finish off the card by adding some shimmer to the tree using Wink of Stella Clear Glitter.
Hero Arts is giving away one October My Monthly Hero Kit to one lucky winner. Leave your comments on all of the blogs in the hop by Sunday, September 11 at 11:59pm PT.
