Hello, and welcome to the Altenew October 2015 Blog Hop! If you came from the Altenew’s blog, you are right on track! For today’s card my inspiration came from Korean 2D animation video named Cherry Blossom Elephant in forest, and here is what I came up with:
Shape stamping is one of my favorite techniques, and I knew exactly what I wanted to make when I saw the elephant die from the Baby Zoo die set. This time I tried a bit different by using a die cut itself as a stamped background instead of drawing a shape on a card base.
I filled it in with small multi -step images from Vintage Flowers. Here are the inks I used for my flowers: Blue(Sea Glass, Ocean Waves, Dusk), Purple(Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris.) I also stamped the leaf(Coral: Peach Perfect) from Lacy Scrolls to complement my elephant.
After stamping three layers of large flower image from Vintage Flowers, I added ink splatters using Heidi Swapp Color Shine Coral. Then I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Greetings.
I’m sharing a video tutorial showing you how I made my card. You can watch the tutorial here or in HD on YouTube. If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my YouTube channel to see more videos from me.
