CASology #94: Thank You Dad Card

by May Park-

Hi crafty friends! I’m popping in quickly with a card for a new challenge over at CASology. Here is this week’s cue card:

When I saw the word METAL, I immediately thought of  Hey Mr Stamp Set from Waffle Flower Crafts. It has lots of great tool images, and those are perfect to create a masculine card. Then I whipped up a thank you card.

Sadly, this card won’t go to my dad, because he died 10 years ago. But I absolutely enjoyed making this!

This is how I crated my card. 1)Cut a piece of white cardstock into 3.5″x3.5″. Then draw stitching lines along the edges using a ruler and brown marker. 2)Stamp the sentiment from Hey Mr Stamp Set in brown. 3)Stamp the stars from the same set in three different colors. 4)Stamp the wrench image on a scrap paper and adhere it on the backside of metallic paper. 5)Fussy cut the wrench and adhere it over the stamped panel using dimensional adhesive. 6)Adhere the front panel onto the card base and apply some glossy accents over the wrench to add some dimension/interest.

This is a closer look at my card. The glossy feeling on the silver metallic paper looks amazing in real life. What do you think? Hope you like my card and get some inspiration.
