A True Friend is a Work of Heart

Yay! I have happy news to share with you all! We(my hubby and myself) just adopted two cats from a local animal shelter. They are both male and about three months old. Today is their first day in our place. We had wanted to have a cat for a long time and finally it’s happened! They are absolutely adorable and playful. I wish you could see them running all around my house without a break. 😀

Here is the card I created inspired by the sketch from Paper Players #155. I started by stamping an argyle pattern from Paper Smooches Debonair in white on a card base from Papertrey Ink Kraft Cardstock. Then I stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things and heat embossed in gold on a chalkboard cardstock.

After cutting out my sentiment, I placed it over the stamped background using some dimensional adhesive. Most of the time I’m not a big fan of gold. However, I love the way my gold heart turned out. It makes my card more special and elegant.

I think you’ve made an awesome clean card! I do like the argyle pattern, and white looks great against kraft. I also think the combination of gold and chalk looks fab! This is a great design, equally perfect for a man as for a woman – I like that about a card. I popped over from MIM.
