Hi everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Today I’d like to share my quickfire cards that I made for Catered Crop: Button Up! I’m not a big fan of buttons when it comes to cardmaking, because I have no idea how to use them. Buttons only work for me in terms of sewing. Hope I’m not the only one who is afraid to use buttons on paper projects. So it was challenging for me to create cards with them. Yikes, nuff said!
Here is what I came up with. From Summer Card Camp 2: Week 1, I chose sketch #3 and stuck to the color scheme. I started by stamping PTI Background Basics: Text Style 2 using a watermark ink on my panel from Hawaiian Shores cardstock. Then I added the sentiment from Stylish Sentiments: Birthday along the bottom of the stamped panel. To create the flower images, I used the Flower Fusion #12 stamp and coordinating die that I hadn’t used since I got them. To finish off the card, I drew dash lines around the card base using a white gel pen.
I made another card based on same sketch but using a different color cardstock. I’m totally in love with what I created using buttons. So cute and lovely! What do you think? I feel I’m now comfortable playing with buttons as embellishment. FYI, yesterday I uploaded one card that I made using buttons. It was my initial attempt before I started making today’s cards for Catered Crop: Button Up! BTW, I’m linking my card up at the following challenges: Little Tangles #16, Moxie Fab World, and Seize the Birthday.
For more inspiration and all the details, please head over at the Catered Crop. I hope you play along with us as the winners will have a chance to guest design on the next recipe swap. Plus, check out the rest of the DT creations on Sunday, July 14.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!

This design is wicked! You most certainly know how to keep a reader
entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost
moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job.
I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that,
how you presented it. Too cool!

I’ve been surfing online greater than three hours lately, yet I never found any fascinating article like yours.
Aug . 24 . 2020It’s pretty worth sufficient for me. In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers made
good content as you probably did, the web can be a lot more helpful than ever before.

Hi would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having
a tough time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!
