TGIF! Finally, it’s the weekend! I’ve been super busy with school this week studying lots of stuff and doing homework. What a week! However I didn’t miss any classes in the series Online Card Classes: Summer Card Camp 2 and tried to practice what I learned from. I’ve really been enjoying the videos and techniques in the classes.
Here is my first card based on the second sketch and all the required colors from week 1 of the camp. I started by stamping the vintage label image in 4 different colors on my panel, Rustic Cream Cardstock from PTI. Next, I added the sentiment and die-cut images using my PTI Mini Blooms stamp set and coordinating dies. After that, I placed my panel on the card base, Hawaiian Shores from Perfect Match Cardstock Sampler. Then I ran my sewing machine around of the edges of my card to give it a more finished look. I really like how soft the colors came out.
Here is another version of my first card. To decorate the front of my card, I added the buttons which were threaded with some baker’s twine instead of using die cuts. FYI, I cut my sentiment stamp into three parts to split the words. Then I stamped them separately on each label.
This is the last card I made using sketch #1 and color scheme provided. I used the Mini Blooms stamp set again to create the tone-on-tone background on the banner. Then I adhered some fabric chipboard letter stickers onto the banner and added several enamel dots to embellish my card. After tearing the edges of the white panel using a paper distresser, I attached it onto the Hawaiian Shores cardstock. I think I shouldn’t have torn the edges of the white panel. What do you think?
I had fun playing with sketches and color schemes. Even though these cardmaking classes make my life busier, I really love getting inspiration and learning lots of techniques from the fabulous designers in the camp. I’m looking forward to the next 3 weeks of Summer Card Camp 2.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a beautiful weekend!

Hello! Do you know if they make any plugins to protect against hackers? I’m kinda paranoid about losing everything I’ve worked hard on. Any tips?|

It’s very trouble-free to find out any matter on net as compared to books, as I found this article at this website.|

I’m amazed, I have to admit. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and engaging, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head. The problem is an issue that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy I stumbled across this during my hunt for something concerning this.|

Love the way you created all your cards, but I was thinking the way you did those first two, you could put together a whole set, box them & give as gifts. They could each be just a little different from each other just the way you did the first two. I think they’re great–all your cards are very appealing to the eye. Nice & bright!

Love all of your cards – great use of the colors!! Can’t decided which version of the stacked labels I like better, they are both terrific!
