How-To Video | Pinkfresh Studio January Stamp & Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
Welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio January 2018 Release Blog Hop! If you came from the amazing Rebecca Luminarias’s blog, you are right on track! Today the design team girls are sharing some fabulous projects to celebrate a release of new stamps and dies.
I created a one layer floral watercolor card for my friend who is having a difficult time. I started by stamping the image from the Pinkfresh Studio Fleur 1 stamp set with Simon Says Stamp Intense black ink one an A2 size Arches cold press watercolor paper.
Then I colored my image using Peerless watercolors and Silver Black Velvet Brush #2 Round. I left some white areas to create an organic look. To create a gradient look of the color, it’s important to wash your paint brush with clean water in between before you pull out the color from the darker stroke.
Once my watercoloring is done, I added splatters to my background to add some interest. This splatter watercolor technique is a bit random but can create some very fun results. I strongly recommend you give it a try if you haven’t done so.
I finished off my card by stamping the sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio Tealightful Day stamp set in black. Don’t you just love my loose watercoloring? This bright and cheerful watercolor card is perfectly appropriate for spring! What do you think?

I made a video tutorial to show you how to create my watercolor card from start to finish. You can watch it above or in HD on YouTube.
