Hero Arts: May 2018 My Monthly Hero Blog Hop + Giveaway

Happy Monday! Welcome to the Hero Arts May 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit Blog Hop. If you came from the amazing Emily Midgett’s blog, you are right on track!

To celebrate the release of Hero Arts’s May 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit, I’ve created a card with fun ombre background featuring the following products from Hero Arts:  main kit and add-on items.

I started by inking the colors on an A2 size white cardstock with mini blending tools.

FYI, here is the list of ink colors I used for my ombre background: Neon Yellow to Orange, Butter Bar, Ombre Light to Dark Peach, Ombre Pink to Red, and Ombre Neon Red to Purple.

Then I stamped the word background image from Hero Arts Family Word Bold Prints with Simon Says Stamp Fog Ink on the ink blended panel.

By the way, I used my Original MISTI Stamping Tool to stamp it a few times in the same position to get the intense impression.

I die cut the word “love” from Hero Arts Love Stamp & Cut 7 times out of white cardstock and mounted them together to make it thick using a glue pen.

Next, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Birthday Messages Stamp Set with White Detail Embossing Powder on a piece of black cardstock and trimmed my sentiment into a thin strip using a craft knife and ruler.

After placing some gold metallic thread in the middle of my card front, I adhered the die-cut word and the sentiment banner using Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze.

Next, I die cut a heart from Simon Says Stamp Mini Hearts Die Set 3 times out of red cardstock and adhered them on the right side of my die-cut word to finish off my card.
