Happy Friday! I am popping in today to share a couple of fun shaker cards that I made with some of Waffle Flower Craft‘s August Release: A Homemade Christmas Stamp Set, Riverside Die Set, and Santa Add-on Die Set. Without further ado, here is what I came up with: I made a snow globe shaker card for upcoming winter holidays. To create a base, I used the bottom part of the Christmas tree image from A Homemade Christmas Stamp Set. I also used Santa’s beard die to create a shape of snowy hill. This is a close up of my shaker window. It’s hard to see from the photo, but I used some white shimmer paper for my snowy hills. Love the little winter scene with all the cute elements. Those sequin scatters in various colors absolutely make me happy! What do you think? This is how I put together my shaker card. 1)Make a top folding card from cream cardstock from Papertrey Ink. Create a window using a circle die from Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Circles Die Set. Then stamp bottom part of the tree image from A Homemade Christmas Stamp Set in brown. 2)Add sentiment from the same set with black ink. 3)Cut one piece of acetate with the next bigger circle die and glue it to the inside of card base. Cut a piece of same sized circle out of Martha Stewart splatter paper for later use. 4)Cut several pieces of Santa’s mustache out of white shimmer paper using Santa Add-on Die Set. Then adhered them together. 5)Cut trees out of green paper using Riverside Die Set. Then adhere them on the circle die cut. 6)Fill the circle window with the sequins from Neat and Tangled: Classic Christmas Mix and Winter Wonderland Mix. Then cover the back using dimensional adhesive to help the sequins move around. Since I had so much fun creating my first Christmas card this year, I couldn’t resist making another one with same design but different color. Christmas wouldn’t be the same without the colors red, green, and gold! I love how my card turned out. Fun, lovely, cheery, joyful, and colorful! This is a closer look at my second shaker card. I filled in with the sequins along with Martha Stewart Crystal Coarse Glitter. Those tiny glitter looks like winter frost on the window. But it looks messy at the same time. Maybe I shouldn’t have used glitter for my shaker fillings. What do you think? FYI, I used some neglected papers from Martha Stewart Snowflace Designer Paper Pad for the background inside my shaker windows. Which card do you like the most? I love the card with red globe, but my hubby loves the mint one. Hope you enjoyed my shaker cards and got some inspiration.
