Hello, and welcome to Altenew’s October 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop! If you came from the super talented Zsoka Marko’s blog, you are right on track.
To celebrate a release of new stamps and dies from Altenew, I created a floral-themed monogram card using layered die cuts. FYI, here is the list of Altenew products I used for my card:

I started by cutting each colored cardstock into 3”x6” using my Tim Holtz paper trimmer and die cut the images from the Layered Floral Elements Die Set out of the colored cardstock using Altenew Mini Blossom Die Cut Machine.
I used a piercing tool through the holes to separate my die cuts from the dies. I continued diecutting the images until I had enough die cuts in different shades. I grouped the diecuts together based on the layers to organize my process. 
Next, I assembled my flowers and leaves using Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze. If you want to know how to layer each element, you can find the assembly instruction HERE. I used a dark shade of die cuts for the bottom layer and light shade of die cuts for the top layer, but you can layer them the other way if you want to.
I stamped out three sentiment stamps from the Playful Blooms Stamp Set in diagonal with Altenew Evening Gray Ink on a piece of A2 size white cardstock. Please note that I’ll be stamping twice for each sentiment to get a solid and intense impression.
When you create your own background using sentiments, make sure to have a similar gap between each sentiment and use a light shade of ink for stamping. That way you can create a subtle background while keeping people’s attention to your focal images.
Next, I die cut the letter “S” twice using the Mega Alphabet S Die out of black cardstock and white fun form. After coloring the side of my fun form S die cut using the black marker from Altenew Artist Markers Set A, I adhered two die cuts together and mounted the “S” on the card front using Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze.
After mounting my stamped panel on the A2 size white top folding card base using Altenew glue tape, I adhered my die-cut letter on the card front using Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze.
Next, I built my own floral arrangements using die cut flowers and leaves and mounted them on the two sides of my monogram S using 3M form tape.
Then I added some white dots on some of the flowers using a white gel pen to give some interest to my floral die cuts.
I stamped the sentiment from the Needlework Motif Stamp Set with Embossing Ink on a piece of white cardstock and heat embossed it using Altenew Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder.
Then I cut out my sentiment into a thin banner and mounted it on the die cut letter “S” using 3M foam tape.
I wasn’t sure if my card would look better with the sentiment banner or not. So I asked some of my crafty friends, Yana Smakula and Yoousun Hur to see which one they like. I even asked my husband which card he likes more.
All of them said they preferred the card without the sentiment banner on the card front. So I ended up taking off the sentiment banner from my card.
