I’m sharing a collage of the photos of me and Kathy. Those photos were taken last April while we were at the craft retreat in Ohio. Can you tell we had so much fun together? I can’t believe how lucky I am to have an amazing friend like Kathy. I love her more than stamps, and that’s a lot!! Hehe!
I made this floral card with stamped/colored background for my friend, Kathy. The sentiment says it all! Every small thing that she does make a big difference in my life. So true!

To create my card, I started by stamping the images from Altenew Sweetest Peas Stamp Set with Simon Says Stamp Khaki Ink on a piece of A2 Size Honey Mustard Cardstock from Gina K Autumn Rainbow Pack. FYI, I used Altenew Mega Alphabet S Die to find the placement of my images.
Then I colored my images with Prismacolor Colored Pencils. I started coloring with the darkest color first toward the bottom of my flower and applied medium color near the previous colored area and toward the end of my petal. Then I colored the tip of my petal with a lighter colored pencil.
FYI, here is the list of Prismacolor pencil colors I used for colored pencil coloring.
- Flowers: PC 928 Rose Farde, PC 929 Rose, PC 994 Rouge Quadrichromie
- Leaves: PC 912 Vert Pomme, PC 909 Vert Pre, PC 941 Light Umber
- Stems/outlines: PC 941 Light Umber
After my coloring was done, I added tiny dots to fill in the gaps between each image using Altenew Artist Marker Paper Bag to bring my images together.
Next, I die cut the letter “S” twice using the Mega Alphabet S Die out of my colored panel and white fun form. Then I mounted my colored panel on the A2 size white top folding card base. After attaching two die cut letters using Altenew glue tape, I inlaied my letter on the opening of my colored panel.
FYI, I colored along the side of my fun form letter die cut using a brush tip of Altenew Artist Marker Caramel Toffee to match the color with my panel.
I stamped the sentiment from the Adore You Stamp Set with Simon Says Stamp Clear Ink on a piece of white cardstock and heat embossed it using Altenew Rose Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. Then I cut out my sentiment into a thin banner and mounted it on the card front using 3M foam tape.
