Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolor Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, and welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolor Release Blog Hop! If you came from the fabulous Lorilei Murphy’s blog, you are right on track.

Today the design team girls and guests are sharing some fabulous projects to celebrate a release of new liquid watercolors.

Recently I’m into making a messy background using various watercolor mediums. I was so excited to test out Pinkfresh Studio’s new liquid watercolors to create my card for today’s blog hop.

I started by wetting the entire surface of my A2 size watercolor paper using lots of water and a large paintbrush. Then I started applying some yellow watercolor on random areas.

Before the first layer was dry, I added more colors and blended in colors using my wet paintbrush. I tried not to leave any harsh lines between each color.

FYI, here is the list of colors I used: Sunshine, Clementine, Bubble Gum, and Candy Apple. I mixed each color with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray to add some shimmer on my watercolor background.

Next, I stamped the floral images from Pinkfresh Studio Fleur 1 stamp set with Embossing Ink using my MISTI stamping tool on the watercolored background.

Then I sprinkled some Brass Embossing Powder over the stamped images and tapped off the excess powder and heat set the images with a heat tool until the embossing powder was completed melted.

Next, I die cut LOVE out of the heat embossed panel and white fun form using the Love With Botanicals Die Set and stacked the die cuts together. After I adhered my watercolor panel on the A2 size white card base using a glue tape, I inlaid the die cut letters to add dimension.

Then I added ink splatters over my entire card front using Unicorn White Spray. Once my card front was dry, I added some tiny dots using a white gel pen to fill in the gaps.

I stamped the sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio Believe Stamp Set with Embossing Ink on a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed it using some White Embossing Powder. Then I cut out my sentiment into a thin banner and mounted it on the card front using 3M foam tape.

To add some interest to my background, I added some Iridescent Bubbles using a jewel picker and Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze. That’s it! Hope you love my card! 🙂
