Altenew April 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello, and welcome to the Altenew April 2018 Release Blog Hop! If you came from the fabulous Kay Miller’s blog, you are right on track. Today the design team girls and guests are sharing some fabulous projects to celebrate a release of new stamps and dies.

I started by die cutting the panel out of A2 size white cardstock using the Cross Stitch Canvas Die. Then I mounted my panel on an A2 size top folding white card base using a glue tape.

Next, I stamped my flower and leaves from the Just for You Stamp Set using Altenew Crisp Dye Ink Pads on a piece of white cardstock. I used the Mini MISTI Stamping Tool for stamping the images a couple of times on the same position to get a nice impression.

FYI, here is the list of ink colors I used for stamping:

• Flower: Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, and Razzleberry
  
• Leaves: Morning Frost, Evening Gray, and Moon Rock

Next, I cut out the images using the coordinating dies from the Just for You Die Set and popped them up on the card front using 3M foam tape to give dimension.

(Note to self: don’t touch the surface of the stamped images until the ink is completely dry.)

I stamped the sentiment from the Strength Blooms Stamp Set with Altenew Embossing Ink on a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed it using Altenew Pure White Embossing Powder.

I also die cut “you” 7 times out of white cardstock and one time out of gold glitter paper using the Just for You Die Set and Altenew Mini Blossom die cutting machine. Then I stacked my die cuts together using a glue pen to achieve a chipboard effect.

After cutting out my sentiment into a thin banner using a craft knife and ruler, I mounted the sentiment banner and die cut “you” on the card front using 3M foam tape.

I finished off my card by applying some dots using Tonic Nuvo Crystal Drops Black to add some interest to my background.
