To celebrate a release of the February 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit, I created a one layer watercolor card using following stamp sets from Hero Arts: Hummingbirds and Come Fly With Me.
I started by stamping two floral images and one hummingbird image from the Hummingbirds stamp set with Hero Arts Intense black ink on an A2 size Arches cold press watercolor paper. I used the masking technique to create a cluster of flowers on my card front.
Then I colored my images with one of my favorite watercolors which is Mijello Mission Gold Watercolor Set. If you would like to see how I watercolored my images, please refer to my old video tutorial where I shared an easy way to watercolor flowers using Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors.
After masking off my watercolored hummingbird using a post-it note, I added splatters to add some interest to my background. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Come Fly With Me stamp set with Hero Arts Intense black ink.
To achieve more detailed look of my flowers, I added some dots using a white gel pen and fine lines using a Copic Multiliner Black pen in the center of each flower. I finished off my card by mouthing my watercolor panel o an A2 size green colored card base.
