Build-A-Flower Rose Card

Hello, crafty friends! Do you remember this card(above) that I created using the Build-A-Flower: Rose Set from Altenew in September 2017? I really enjoyed playing with the color layering technique and building my own floral arrangement.

Inspired by my Build-A-Flower Rose Card, I created another card using the same color layering technique, but this time I tried to achieve a bold, striking look of my floral arrangement against the black background.

I started by stamping my flowers and leaves from the Flower Arrangement stamp set using the Altenew Crisp Inks on a piece of white cardstock. Here is the list of ink colors I used for stamping:

• Pink flower: Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, and Rubellite
• Purple flower: Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, and Deep Iris
• Flower center: Fresh Lemon and Honey Drizzle
• Leaves: Morning Frost, Evening Gray, and Moon Rock

Then I die cut my images using the Spellbinders Platinum die cut machine using the coordinating dies from the Flower Arrangement die set.

I also die cut “hugs” 5 times from the Script Words die set out of Altenew gold mirror paper using the Altenew Mini Blossom die cutting machine.

After adding tiny dots to the entire background of my black card base using a white gel pen, I mounted my die cut elements on the card front using 3M foam tape to give some dimension.
