Do you remember that I went to a craft retreat in Ohio last October? Of course, I had so much fun hanging out with my craft squad for a few days. I rarely did crafting, though as I was so busy chatting with my friends. Hehe.. 🙂
While I was there, I was able to complete one piece of watercolor card. Yay!!! So proud of myself! FYI, this image is illustrated by my super talented friend, Suzy Plantamura.
For my coloring project, I borrowed some supplies from my friends: Simon Says Stamp’s succulent doodle print from Kathy Rachossin, Daniel Smith watercolors from Lydia Fidler, and Zen watercolor brush from Kristina Werner.
The earthy colors are not my go-to colors, but I enjoyed coloring the little succulents images. I love how my watercolor card turned out! What do you think?

Oh, May. You are so sweet to turn a silly mistake into a giveaway. I make so many mistakes, I can’t keep track of all of them. Berina’s story above did remind me of the time I tried to make sweet rolls that have coating with powdered sugar… except I used bread flour by mistake :-/ They were super crusty and not so sweet!

I bought something and then returned, got into the car and started to tell my husband like “bla bla bla,i bought this and that”, rummaging in a bag the same time. And when I looked up, a strange man was sitting next to me. It wasn’t my car. It looked the same but it wasn’t.Our car was in the next parking lot. My husband laughed like crazy:)

Once I accidentally drove into the parking lot of the building where the American Internet hub is located. No wonder there were guards out front… since I wasn’t supposed to be there or took a LONG time to get approved to leave. Yikes.

This is the sweetest response to an honest mistake I’ve ever seen. You are so kind!
The mistake of mine that leaps to mind is one that haunts me to this day. I am a volunteer docent with the local orchestra, and I go into classrooms to give kids presentations about the concert they’re going to go see. One time I was scheduled at an elementary school that was on a military base, so you need to have your ID and car registration to get on base. I didn’t check my registration, because I always have it in the car, but this time, I didn’t. I had the year before’s registration and the one that was going to take effect in a month, but not the current one. So I had to call the school and ask the administration to get a message to the teachers that this presentation they thought they were going to have? Not so much. I felt so bad for letting down the kids and the teachers. It was a nightmare. Every time I see that school listed as coming to the concerts I simultaneous want to go hide and go introduce myself and apologize profusely. Not my finest hour.

I made MILLIONS of silly mistakes before but one that stands out is a card I made with a little girl standing in the rain. I loved it so much and linked to a challenge. I then got a comment from my friend Darnell saying how funny it was that it still looked like rain even though the raindrops were upside down. I didn’t notice at all and laughed so hard when I looked at it again. What an idiot I was!!

Love your card. The colors are really pretty and the images are gorgeous. The silliest mistake I remember making more than once is adhering a ready panel on a card upside down. I have done this a few times and it is always so frustrating!

Silly mistake? So many to choose from…. but the one that sticks out.. once, at a conference with over 3000 kids, I was given the task to read out a little “dramatic” speech about not having water (we were learning about Moses). Anyway, directions weren’t that clear and I jumped on the wrong cue… 😂😂😂 so in the middle of an unrelated speech, and out of nowhere, I drastically exclaimed: “We’re running out of water!!” (Cue crickets…) unfortunately, I had to say it again, at the correct time. The second time, I was not as dramatic, haha! This was so many decades ago, but I still remember it… one of the most embarrassing moments of my life!

Gorgeous card! Love the unique colors in the Daniel Smith line 🙂 They layer like a dream and Suzy always has such great images to color and create with! A funny moment that coworkers ALWAYS remember….the day I went to the ladies room at work, and caught the back of my skirt into my pantyhose. No one noticed until the UPS driver came for a delivery and well….I gave him a memorable backside view!

Such a lovely card!! I love it! Thank you for the giveaway! I do lots of silly mistakes!! Once when I was baking a cake, I added baking soda instead of baking powder. The cake looked so fluffy and I was very happy. Only when I tasted it, I knew my blunder! Then I had to add cream and make it into cake pops!
