To celebrate the amazing year of 2017, today I’m sharing my favorite Altenew cards that I have created this year. If you want more details of a particular card, just click on the photo of the card to go to the original post.
I combined three flower stamp sets to build my own floral arrangement: Build-A-Flower Coral Charm, Remember This, and Beautiful Day. Then I watercolored my images with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens.
To create my own stamped background, I stamped A, F, G letters from the Layered Letters AFG stamp set using four different ink colors: Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake, Lagoon, and Emerald.
I created a one-layer watercolor card using the Enchanted Iris stamps set and Crafty Friends stamp set. These flowers are a delight to color with any medium, and I decided to color them with my favorite watercolors: Mijello Mission Gold watercolor set.
I created a floral one layer card featuring the gorgeous flower images from the Amazing You stamp set. Then I colored my images with Prismacolor colored pencils.
Don’t you love all the layers in different shades of red? I was surprised to see myself being able to color the images beautifully with colored pencils.
I created a one-layer Father’s Day card using ink blending and heat embossing techniques, inspired my own cards, THIS and THIS. I used the cool images from the Best Dad stamp set to create my own heat-embossed background.
I mixed the images from several stamp sets from Altenew: Garden Treasure, Remember This, Beautiful Day to create my own floral arrangement. Then I colored them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi 36 watercolor set using two different watercolor techniques.
I wanted to create a sort of Happy New Year card featuring Happy Dreams stamp set and Bold Alphabet die set , but not using the common greeting “happy new year. Then I came up with my own sentiment, You make it happen! This also can be used for the encouragement card.
To create a one-layer floral card, I stamped the images from the Smile More stamp set and colored them with Copic markers.
To create a bold pattern, I stamped fun fruit images from the Simple Fruits stamp set with Altenew Crisp dye inks: Warm Sunshine, Orange Cream, and Parrot. It took me about 20-25 minutes masking all the orange images, but I guess it paid off.
To celebrate a new release of Artist Markers Set B and Artist Markers Set C from Altenew, I created a floral themed card using the Adore You Stamp Set and the Halftone Hearts Stamp Set.
I wanted to color my images with a unique color combo, without any red colors. I mainly used the flicking technique to blend the colors.
With this Build-A-Flower: Rose, anyone can achieve a realistic look as it gives extra depth to the rose image with six layers. To create my own floral arrangement, I combined Build-A-Flower: Rose with another fabulous stamp set from Altenew: Remember This.
I created a quick and simple winter holiday card using the Halftone Stars stamp set and Happy Holidays stamp set.
I finished off my card by adding some dots with Jet Black marker from Altenew Artist Markers Set A. I just couldn’t stop adding dots to my card. They really added extra details to my card.
I created my own sentiments by stamping the sentiments from the following stamp sets: Smile More, Hug Me, and Halftone Hearts.
Then I stamped the multi-step carnation images, leaves, and a cluster of tiny flowers from Build-A-Flower: Carnation around my sentiments to create my own floral background.
I created a fun card with a stamped background using the Speech Bubbles stamp set. FYI, I stamped speech bubble images with Altenew Crisp Inks: Rouge, Warm Sunshine, and Volcano Lake which is my favorite color combo of this year.
I diecut the floral frame three times using the Layered Floral Cover Die A and adhered them together. Next, I blended some Distress inks on the die cut frame and added some shading using Prismacolor pencils. Then I mounted the colored floral frame on the patterned paper.
Well, there you have it…my favorite Altenew cards of 2017. I was really inspired by my own creations while going through all the blog posts. I hope you had fun revisiting them with me and receiving some inspiration.
