To celebrate a release of December 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit, I created a fun magical card with ink blended background.
After masking off the 1.75″ circle using a post-it note, I did some ink blending on an A2 size white card base to create my background. FYI, I used the following Hero Arts Inks: Ombre Butter Bar to Orange, Ombre Neon Red to Purple, Ombre Purple to Grape.
Then I removed the mask and inked the color using Hero Arts Butter Bar to create a moon.
Then I created a hill mask by cutting out a shape of the hill out of a post-it note using my scissors. I covered a negative side of my mask and inked the color using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink.
Then I stamped the images(palm trees and camels) from the December 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit in black along the hillside.
Next, I stamped the images(a woman, a carpet) from the December 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink on a piece of white cardstock.
After coloring the images with Copic markers I die cut them using the coordinating dies from the December 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit with my Spellbinderes diecut machine.
I popped up the die cut images on the card front using 3M foam tape to give some dimension. I finished off my card by stamping the sentiment from the December 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink.
