To celebrate a new release of Aritst Markers Set B and Aritst Markers Set C from Altenew, I created a floral themed card using the Adore You Stamp Set and the Halftone Hearts Stamp Set.
I started by stamping my first large flower image four times with Altenew Permanent Black ink on an A2 size white cardstock. Then I masked off the images with post-it notes and stamped the next images over my masks, positioning the images partially onto the masks. I continued stamping and masking until I finished creating my entire floral background.
I wanted to color my images with a unique color combo, without any red colors. So I decided to use 4 different color families from Artist Markers Set A and Artist Markers Set B: Green Fields, Shades of Purple, Summer Afternoon, and Warm Gray.
I mainly used the flicking technique to blend the colors. By using the tip of your brush and laying down the marker and then flicking where your marker touches the paper last is going to be a lot lighter then. This leaves the lighter part much easier to blend with the next color. The little gaps between your flicks will also help blend the next lighter color.
I added some white dots on the center of each flower using a white gel pen to give some interest to my floral background. I wish I had more patience to keep blending in the colors. And I also need to practice more to have my flicks a lot thinner so I can achieve a realistic look of flowers.
I stamped the sentiment from the Halftone Hearts Stamp Set with Altenew Permanent Black Ink on a piece of white cardstock. Then I die cut my sentiment using the Halftone Hearts Die Set and my Spellbinders Platinum die cut machine.
I stamped additional sentiment from the Halftone Hearts Stamp Set with Altenew embossing ink on a piece of black cardstock. Then I heat embossed the sentiment with Altenew pure white embossing powder and trimmed my sentiment into a thin banner using a kraft knife and ruler.

Oh May I adore this card, it’s the second card of yours I have seen & yet again your work is beautiful. The markers you chose out of the sets were so soft & delicate, I am dying to get the sets now. Envelopes do get decorated, I choose an element off my design & print part on the front & a cute statement on the seal area.
