Hello, and welcome to the Altenew March Release 2017 Blog Hop! If you came from the amazing Kelly’s blog, you are right on track! Today the design team girls and guests are sharing some fabulous projects to celebrate a release of 15 stamp sets and 13 die sets.
I used the Simple Fruits stamp set I designed. I’m very excited about this stamp set as it compliments my Simple Flowers stamp set! To create a bold pattern, I used fun fruit images with Altenew Crisp dye inks: Warm Sunshine, Orange Cream and Parrot.
For my sentiment, I die cut the letters using the Bold Alphabet die set out of white cardstock and popped up the letters on the card front using foam adhesive. Then I heat embossed the sentiment from Simple Fruits stamp set using white embossing powder on a piece of black cardstock and mounted the sentiment strip on my die cut letters.
Do you know why I added Pretty Pink Posh’s clear droplets on the card front? Yes, they reminded me of water droplets on the fruit surface. But there was another reason. The inks smeared under the masks during the masking and the inks were transferred to previously stamped images. So I needed something to hide the ink stains.
Don’t you think those stamped images look so yummy? It took me about 20-25 minutes masking all the orange images, but I guess it paid off. To be honest, I stamped oranges almost 100 times including my practice pieces. Hope you don’t think I’m crazy! Hehe!
If you saw my Instagram post yesterday, you might happy to see this fox card. I almost didn’t share this card that I created with the Hug Me stamp set. So thank you for those of you who encouraged me to share and left some kind words on my Instagram. I really appreciate your support.
These are my favorite stamp sets from Altenew March 2017 release. Make sure to visit the Altenew store HERE to check out the rest of awesome new stamps and dies.
