Hero Arts Dog Themed Birthday Card | Charity Blog Hop + Giveaway

by May Park-

Charity Hop blog header

Happy Saturday! I’m excited to join in a very special blog hop called Charity Blog Hop hosted by the amazing Sandy Allnock. If you came from the uber talented Carly’s blog, you are right on track!

Handmade Birthday Card-Hero Arts-1

I created a dog themed card inspired by my own card design, window frame card with cats. I hope you are not tired of seeing a similar card. 😉

Screen-Shot-2017-03-17-at-11.53.16-PMAs you may already know, I have two adorable cats that I adopted three years ago from a local shelter. So this time I wanted to do something good to dogs in need. I donated $35 to Humane Society International by buying a symbolic humane gift that helps street dogs.

Handmade Birthday Card-Hero Arts-2

To create my card, I used the Woof stamp set and Woof frame cuts from Hero Arts along with a few ombre inks: Neon Chartreuse to BlueMint to GreenNeon Yellow to OrangeNeon Red to PurpleNeon Chartreuse to Blue.

Handmade Birthday Card-Hero Arts-5

I heat embossed the sentiment from the Birthday Animal Silhouettes stamp set with white embossing powder. Then I popped it up on the card front using foam tape. I finished off my card with some black gemstones to add interest.

If you would like to know how I created my card, please watch my video tutorial above or in HD at my YouTube channel. It’s not the exact same card, but the card making process is pretty same.

I love this card, May. It’s so clean and fresh. And I love that even though you adopted kitties, you donated to a doggie cause. 🙂

How could anyone be tired of kitties? I love your card made with the pups. Beautiful colors, cute images and a wonderful donation from you. I have both a kitty and a pup and I think this is a wonderful organization for you to support. Thank you for showing us your design. It is adorable. TFS

It’s amazing how much the ombre backgrounds add so much brightness to this Card. I’ve adopted all my animals from the Humane Society, so i certainly appreciate the info on the international branch. What a wonderful hop to gather inspiration!

Great video. I can never get tired of your cards! The inked windows are great and I need to try it soon! So many techniques to try. You made me laugh about the cat comment at the end “Stop the video if you do not like cats!”. I am allergic to cats but I still watched and survived ! HA!. They are adorable.
