Happy Friday! I hope you don’t mind seeing a photo of myself, not a card. I just wanted to share something different today. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you probably know that I went to the CHA craft show in AZ last month? I did a few Make & Take sessions for Altenew and Hero Arts.
I also made 100 goody bags for the Altenew booth which were filled with beautiful embellishments and patterned papers from Altenew’s Reflection Scrapbook Collection. I basically prepared about 10 goody bags a day, and it took me more than a week to finish 100 goody bags.
It was a lot of work – but I was happy to see people receiving their free gifts and making big smiley faces. The time and effort that I put into these were paid off!
The elements in the Scrapbook Collection were way too beautiful, so I had to take some photos while prepping the goody bags. And those wood buttons with watercolor designs??!!! They are absolutely gorgeous!
This is the product image in case you are curious about what’s included in the Scrapbook Collection. I asked my amazingly talented friends, Lilith and Ashley, if I can share their beautiful layouts with my blog readers. Of course, they said big YES!
They all used Altenew’s Reflection Scrapbook Collection to create the layouts above. I know most of you are cardmakers like me, but isn’t it great to get some inspiration not just from cards but layouts once in a while?
I created a collage using the photos of my old/new friends that I met at the show:
Hope they don’t mind sharing their photos here. Can you tell I had so much fun meeting my friends? I can’t thank them enough for their encouragement, support, inspiration, and love. Seriously, crafty friends are the best!
I love sending happy mail to my friends. This time I decided to send them printed photos even though they are not good quality because I took the photos with iPhone. I’ve sent the photos to about 20 friends since I came back from CHA and I’m planning to mail out to the rest of them by the end of this month hopefully.

Wow, May…what a marvelous post; your passion for crafting and for the people in the crafting community comes through loud and clear. I’d love to craft with my ‘blog’ friend, Leigh Penner (To The Full blog), who lives just ‘down the road’, two provinces away from me in Manitoba. We’ve ‘known’ each other for three years now, and I’ve not missed commenting on a single card since the first day of discovering her. She’s talented, creativity, positive and all-around fabulous…not to mention being a marvelous mom to her three children and an avid member of her town’s community. Did I mention she’s also into martial arts? She is the epitome of a diverse individual. Several of her cards live at my house, displayed in various places where, at a glance, I am reminded of how lucky I am to have her in my life. I have a friend in another town about two hours away from me but we share our products when we can, I have more stuff than her so I love to surprise her with die cuts or backgrounds. We share ideas and photos and generally have fun. So I would share any new or gently new supplies with her. I always look forward to your cards.
