Neat and Tangled July Release Day 1: Faceted Background Cards using Watercoloring
Happy Monday! Welcome to Day 1 of July Release Week from Neat and Tangled. We have some AMAZING new stamps, dies, and embellishments for you! This month’s release also includes the Woof stamp set that I designed for all the dog-lovers or just those who love anything cute.
Today I have two cards showcasing the Faceted stamp set that our talented Miriam designed. For the card, I started by stamping the geometric background image on a piece of watercolor paper with VersaMark watermark ink. Then I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Next, I watercolored the entire background using Distress markers.
I heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of black cardstock using white embossing powder. Then I popped it up with foam tape. To finish off the card, I embellished my watercolored background with some sparkling clear sequins.
It took me much time to watercolor the entire background, but I really love how it turned out. Hope you love it, too.
By the way, this is the photo of my craft desk that I took before I adhered the sentiment on the card. Does your desk look like mine while crafting? I really believe messy desk means creative mind, don’t you? 🙂
This is my second card I made using the Faceted stamp set combined with Origami Map die. Did you notice that my card is too similar with our provisos release projects? I felt like I made it with Origami Map stamp set. Lol. 🙂
That’s all for me today. Make sure to check out the Neat & Tangled blog for more inspiration and giveaways! All release products that we are showcasing this week will be available for purchase in the Neat and Tangled Shop on Friday, July 17th at 8am EST. Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!
