CASology #147: Propose Ring Card

by May Park-

Happy Tuesday! It’s time for a new challenge over at CASology. Here is this week’s cue card:

As always, you can interpret the word literally or think outside the box. Here is my take on WEDDING:

I created a simple one-layer card. My inspiration came from one man’s proposal scene from Korean film. (Sorry, I don’t remember the title.) He used the thread to deliver the propose ring to his girl friend’s finger.

By the way, I used these stamp sets for the card: heart from DT Mix set, circle from Paper Cut Flowers set, gem from Sparkle and Shine set, and sentiement from Figure Effects set.

For an extra interest, I applied some glitter and glossy accents on the gem. It’s a shame that my camera failed to catch the awesome details on the gem. Hope you like it, though. 🙂

Now it’s your turn to play along. There is a wonderful prize up for grabs from Whimsy Stamps and the winner will have a chance to guest design on the next challenge. Make sure to check out the CASology challenge blog to see how the rest of the designers interpreted the cue word. Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!

Hey May!! You did a fantastic job on this card. You always find a way to think outside of the box. I love how the ring is sliding down. Nicely done.

I haven’t seen that film, but I’m going to keep an eye open for it : ). Mostly I watch K-Dramas (thank goodness for subtitles). Love the card!
