Catered Crop: How to Organize Buttons

by May Park-

Hi crafty friends! It’s time for a new challenge over at Catered Crop. We want to see you use a button or more to your project. Or, alternatively, show us how you store and organize your buttons. Today I thought I would stop in and share a simple way How to Organize Buttons. I suppose that my system isn’t super innovative or anything, but I still wanted to share my tips. In the meantime, this will be my first post without card, so I’m kind of nervous and excited at the same time. Hope you enjoy it!

We all have lots of empty mason jars on hand, right? So why not put them to good use. I stored most of my buttons in a vintage jar that lovely Linda gave me last year. I think it’s the best way to store little items! But I have to admit that it is not convenient when I want to find a specific button. Actually I don’t mind digging inside or pouring them over the desk to find what I want.

My special buttons went in an antique bowl that I got for 50 cents at garage sale. I love this system! This way it’s easy to recognize and easy to grab and go! Not only is it helpful, it is also very pretty to look at!

Do you know what kind of buttons above? These are polymer clay handmade buttons by my Korean friend, Suhobi. I placed them on a beautiful plate that I found at antique market. I don’t use these buttons, I just love seeing them nearby at the craft table.

I always have an empty plate handy while working on my project. I pour my little embellishments such as buttons, pearls, and beads on a plate, so that they stay in one place where I can reach them easily and quickly when I need them. Sometimes it works for small-sized clear stamps.

I stored the rest of my buttons in a drawer using baby food jars and handmade paper box. As you can see, I don’t sort my buttons by color, shapes, and sizes. I just love the mixed buttons together. This is my way that’s easiest to organize all of my buttons. I hope that I shared something helpful with one of you out there.

There is a fabulous Pinterest board that Linda has curated. You can head over to her board, Button, to find links to a ton of projects that use buttons and some ideas for storing buttons. Make sure to stop by the Catered Crop blog to see the rest of the DT creations on Sunday, May 4. I hope you play along with us as the winners will have a chance to guest design on the next challenge.

I would love to hear how you sort/store your buttons. If you have any pictures, place a link in the comments section so I can come and check it out. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have fun organizing your own button stash!

At this time it appears like WordPress is the preferred blogging platform available right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?|

I do not even know how I finished up here, however I assumed this put up was once good. I do not recognise who you’re but definitely you’re going to a well-known blogger when you aren’t already. Cheers!|
