Waffle Flower: Fancy Bow Dress Cards

by May Park-

Happy Saturday! I am so excited for my first official post as a part of the talented Waffle Flower Crafts design team. Today I’m sharing a couple of cards that I made using the fabulous Bowtiful Stamp set.

I don’t think I need to add any description since the name speaks for itself. This is a seriously fun and cute set with solid/outlined bow and great matching sentiments – love all the little images in the set. And there’s also coordinating dies called Bowtiful Die set. Without further ado, here is what I came up with:

I created a bow dress themed card. (Please tell me my card looks like someone is wearing a fancy red dress with a gold bow necklace. *wink*) I know, it’s different than my normal CAS style. But, it’s fun to change it up from time to time, right? I used the confetti star stamp to create my own background using clear embossing powder. I had to break out the stamp to fill in the gaps with stars, though.

Then I made a lovely embellishment using bow die. It’s hard to see from the photo, but I layered bow die cuts in three different papers. The Bowtiful Die made me so easy to create my own accent for my card. You could make a flower or butterfly for a girly card using this awesome die. Or maybe you want to try a masculine card with bow tie theme. The possibilities are just endless! FYI, I used Scarlet Jewel cardstock from Papertrey Ink for my card base.

I made another version of bow dress card using Smokey Shadow cardstock by Papertery Ink. I built my own sentiment from the set, and added it on vellum. Don’t you just love the font? The sentiment in the Bowtiful Stamp set can be combined in many different ways to create your own story. How versatile it is!

Here is how I made my card. 1)Stamp the confetti star onto the card front using versamark ink. 2)Pour some clear embossing powder and heat emboss it using heat tool. 3)Cut out the top portion of the card front using My Favorite Things’ Circle Die-namics. 4)Gold emboss the sentiment on the vellum. 5)Adhere the sentiment banner and place the beads string along the top of the card. 6)Die cut the bows and put them together onto the string using foam tape. Finish off the card with some gemstone.

I love how my cards turned out. They look so upscale and elegant as well. And those clear and gold embossing look gorgeous in person. By the way, which card do you like most? Red or black? Actually it’s scarlet and grey. Hope you love at least one of my cards and get some inspiration.

I have a coupon for Tiny Heart Die for FREE with orders over $50.00. This little die is definitely the cutest thing ever. Don’t forget to check out 4 awesome stamp sets and 3 dies in our April Release, and they are already live on the Waffle Flower store. I hope you have fun seeing lots of creative ways to use them.

That’s it for me today! Thank you so much for stopping by today. Hope you have a wonderful, wonderful weekend!
