Happy Friday, my crafty friends! I set out this morning to create a card for the All That Glitters is Gold Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. Actually I made five cards, but I decided to share only one of them since all look similar except colors. 🙂
For this card, I created my own backdrop using a few color mists from Color Shine by Heidi Swapp: mint green, peach, and mustard. I lightly sprayed colors over the entire front of my white card stock and let the inks completely dry. The fun part about misting was the unevenness of the spray. Not-evenly-colored background gave the paper a nice and unique handmade look. Next, I stamped the text background from PTI Text Style stamp set and the sentiment from Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments on the bottom of my card.
After that, I made my own flower for the embellishment. I started by stamping the flower image in Versamark and then heat embossing it with some Ranger super fine detail gold embossing powder. Next, I took two different Tim Holtz distress markers and colored my flower, blending it with a waterbrush pen. Then I fussy cut the flower image and sprayed some Perfect Pears Mists over the flower. It may be kinda hard to see from the picture, but the flower looks so shiny and shimmery in person.
I usually make clean and simple cards, but I had so much fun playing with color mists and distress markers. Most importantly, I love the way my card turned out. So soft and beautiful background with gorgeous flower embossed in gold! What do you think? Hope you like my creation and get some inspiration. That’s all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by!

First off I want to say great blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear
your head prior to writing. I’ve had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas
out. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost just
trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?
Appreciate it!
