Happy Friday! Today I’d like to share a couple of cards that I made for the current Catered Crop Recipe Swap. This week’s theme is “So Shapely” which asks us to use die cuts or punches to create our projects. So I pulled out my Mini Blooms stamp set and coordinating dies which I’m really into at the moment.
Here is my first card. I started with a Simply Chartreuse card base from the Perfect Match Cardstock Sampler. I stamped a text block from Background Basic: Text Style II on the bottom of my card. Then I wrapped a ribbon around the card front. After that, I created my die-cuts using a Cuttlebug cutting machine and stamped the images onto them. Next, I arranged my images using foam tape and put on some pearls for an extra accent. To finish off my card, I stamped a simple sentiment from the Mini Blooms stamp set using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
For my second card, I opted to leave a lot white space to highlight my focal image. I started by die-cutting flowers and leaves out from solid card stock. Then I stamped each die-cut with a watermark ink pad to give a tone-on-tone effect. Next, I stamped the sentiment in black and placed clusters of my images around the sentiment.
