Hi, crafty peeps! Today I had the privilege of giving a presentation to ESL students in the Language Academy program at West LA college. The topic was my hobby which is card making. I brought some of the supplies that I use for card making and several of my handmade cards to show. Most of the students seemed interested, and I was able to answer all their questions. I was so pleased to share my experiences of paper crafting with the teacher and the students. It made my day! 😀
Okay, this is the card that I’m sharing tonight. I made this for the CASE Study challenge #157. I haven’t been able to play along in a while so I was thrilled to get the opportunity this afternoon. I tried to capture the lengths of color strips on Kathy Racoosin’s card.
To create this card, I first cut the six strips in different colors from Papertrey Ink and arranged them in order on a card base. The sentiment from Stylish Sentiments: Birthday was added in the last strip using white embossing powder. I almost put some die-cut flowers on my card. But I’m glad I kept it clean and simple. What do you think? Is it too simple?
Thanks for stopping by today! Happy crafting!
